On December 13, 2013, The Benbow Historic Inn hosted Gary and Pam Barker of Dogwood Estate Winery. The evening featured outstanding wine, well-paired culinary treats and lively conversation.

The dinner ended with a wonderful pairing of the Dogwood Estate Winery 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel and a wonderful Flourless Chocolate Torte, French Vanilla Dark Chocolate Mousse, Dried Cherry Coulis and Chantilly Cream. Produced in very limited quantities, this outstanding desert wine is a best-seller on the Benbow Historic Inn's wine list that has received Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence over the last 15 years.
